Ideas for Action

On June 20, 2017, the Steering Committee of the Healthy Lee collaborative met for its Annual Meeting to evaluate, discuss and prioritize health issues for community, based on findings of this Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA).

Based on their input, the following were determined to be the health priorities for Lee County:

  1. Heart Disease & Stroke

  2. Healthy Lifestyles

  3. Diabetes

  4. Behavioral Health

  5. Cancer

  6. Access/Primary Care Alternatives

  7. Asthma

In cooperation with the Healthy Lee initiative, Lee Health and Lee Memorial Hospital will use the information from this Community Health Needs Assessment to develop an Implementation Strategy to address the significant health needs in the community. While the hospital might not implement strategies for all of the health issues listed above, the results of this prioritization exercise will be used to inform the development of the hospital’s action plan to guide community health improvement efforts in the coming years.
